I’ve recently noticed a lot of my friends posting Facebook and Instagram photos of their kids dressed up as their favorite fictional characters for school “Character Day.” I LOVE this idea, and have been so inspired by their creative interpretations! To continue with this trend, here are some great characters from beloved books that also happen to make fantastic costumes. In my book, every day is a good day to play dress up! Here are someoptions, from picture books all the way up to Harry Potter! Why wait for Halloween?

Who wouldn’t want an excuse to toss on a pink feathered boa, a tiara, and a pair of pink sunglasses (coupled with a whole lot of sass). And if you only have a feather duster instead of a feather boa, all the more authentic! As Nancy knows, it’s all in the way you choose to see the world, darling.
