E Kalyan scholarship: Schemes

E Kalyan has been divided into three types of Scholarships for the students of Jharkhand.

Pre-Matric Scholarship: Students up to 10th standard are eligible under this Scholarship. All the students up to 10th can avail of the Scholarship by filling out the Pre Matric Scholarship.

Post-Matric (Within State) Scholarship: Under this Scholarship, students after clearing 10th are included who are completing their studies by staying in Jharkhand.

Post-Matric (Outside State) Scholarship: This Scholarship includes students studying outside Jharkhand after clearing the 10th standard.

E Kalyan scholarship: Objectives

The main aim of the e-Kalyan Scholarship is to provide an opportunity to continue their education to all those students who are unable to bear the cost of their studies due to financial weakness.

Many such students in the state want to study but are unable to pursue higher education due to low-income family conditions.

In such a situation, the Jharkhand E-Kalyan Scholarship Scheme has been started by the Government of Jharkhand to promote the state’s education system so that the students are not deprived of education because of their status.

E Kalyan scholarship: Eligibility

Before applying for the e-Kalyan Scholarship, you must be eligible for it. Meet the following requirements:

• Only permanent and local residents of Jharkhand state can apply.
• The scheme is only available for SC, ST, and OBC backward categories.
• For SC and ST, the maximum family income should be more than 2.5 lakhs. For the OBC category, the maximum family income should be more than 1.5 lakhs.
• Students studying in the class above 10th can apply for this scholarship scheme.
• Under the new rules, general graduate courses from universities and institutions outside the state, like B.A., B.Sc., and B.Com., including degrees, diplomas, and students doing other courses, will not get Scholarships.

Note: Only those students who are not taking advantage of any other scholarship scheme are eligible to apply for the E Kalyan Jharkhand scholarship.

You must need the following documents while applying for the e-Kalyan Scholarship:

• Aadhaar card
• Aadhaar Card should be linked to the bank account
• Passbook
• Residential certificates such as Family membership certificate (mool niwas)
• Annual income certificate of the family
• Certificate related to educational qualification
• Mobile number
• Passport size photograph

Note: While applying for the e-Kalyan Scholarship, make sure your Aadhar card has been linked to your Bank account.

E Kalyan scholarship: How to apply for the e-Kalyan 2023 scholarship?

To fill out the E-Kalyan Scholarship Scheme Jharkhand online form, you must follow the steps below.

Step 1: Open the e-Kalyan website – https://ekalyan.cgg.gov.in/ on your browser.

Step 2: On the home page, if you are already registered on this portal, you must log in. Otherwise, you have to register.

Step 3: Now, you must enter the information for the student’s login.
